  • Flexible Seating for All Learners!

    Thank you so much for your donations and support! My students absolutely love getting to use all our new items! They get multiple chances throughout the day to sit with our fun desks and cushions, as well as other items I have acquired. We do a lot of work on Chromebooks so new headphones were a great thing to have! My students love getting to sit on the floor with our lap desks and cushions instead of always sitting in their chair. I received my items in the middle of last school year so I've had the chance to share these things with two classes so far and look forward to sharing them with many more!!”

  • Listening for Learning

    My students are loving having headphones of their own. We do reading and math stations in class each day and they are on the iPads since we cannot do close group work. This is great to minimize noise in the classroom. My kiddos are doing so amazing with working hard on their iPad on various activities. Since it's quieter with the headphones, I am able to successfully pull small groups to my table and get so much more done since we can all easily hear each other. Wearing a mask makes it tough for me to hear them and for them to hear my sometimes so having a quiet classroom because of the headphones is amazing! Thank you for all of your support!”

  • Wiggle Worms Delight

    Thank you so much for contributing to my project. This school year looks extremely different than I expected when I started this project. However, the items I received through these donations have still been very useful in my classroom.

    My students love getting to sit on the wobble chairs while sitting at my round table. COVID has changed the way we do Guided Reading at my table but with face shields, my students have been able to enjoy these new chairs every time they come and read with me. There are even times I have to ask them to go back to their own chairs because they just do not want to get up.

    My original plan was to use these materials for a different seating arrangement in the classroom, but since that is not possible this year, we are doing the next best thing. I received a class set of clipboards which has given us the opportunity to work on the floor and even outside a couple of times.”

Not only that, but it helps them with responsibility. During independent work, they will be asked to choose what space is best for them. What chair or area would you do your absolute best work in? Hopefully, they will have the opportunity to make these decisions. Can you do your best work in a wobble chair? Sitting with a pillow and a clipboard? Or maybe even a traditional chair and desk.
