Most of the students are at least 3 grade levels behind, so I am always looking for ways to make learning fun, engaging, interactive and meaningful. Most of the students are at least 3 or MORE grade levels behind and by 7th grade, they are unmotivated and embarrassed that they are unable to read very well. The materials provided will allow the students to not feel the pressure of having to read out loud...they can just ENJOY being read to. My hope is that after the students have listened to the books several times, they will be able to read more words, build self-confidence in being able to read and talk about a book, and want to share with me and/or their peers about what they have learned.

About my class
