COVID-19 has forced public schools to change their student schedules numerous times over the last year. The last change to our school or my building involves little to no physical activity/activities for my students. I have a huge load of young boys, in particular, who are forced to sit for six hours straight. They have no physical education/gym because of the schedule. When they come to my class, they are antsy and literally "crawling out of their skin" because they have done nothing but sit for six hours. I just want to be able to give them an opportunity to relieve their energy in a positive way that allows them to still pay attention to the lesson.
