These materials would make a drastic difference in my students' learning. First and foremost, these material will allow and provide opportunities for my students to practice their skills in all developmental domains, from cognitive, to social, to emotional, to language, to physical. Block play is so important. I would like my students to have these materials to help with their fine motor skills. Also, to have them socialize while also developing language, which in turn will help with their writing skills. Block play helps with their hand-eye coordination which will also help with reading and writing. Secondly, but very importantly, having these materials will help with problem solving and critical thinking skills. Students are lacking these two very important abilities because they lack experiences and opportunities. Lastly, with students having these materials and practicing all these skills, we will also hit on the academics- writing/reading, and math. White boards will be used to practice our phonics lessons, practice writing sentences, answering whole group questions, to use for math problem solving, etc. These materials will also serve as a motivation for my students to get their work done. These are developmentally appropriate materials and will be used for developmentally appropriate activities.
