I teach eighth-grade science and my students often master content at different paces. They need to have text read to them in order to meet their educational needs. The headsets allow for the student to listen to materials at their own pace. It also cuts down on the distractions of my reading the passages to a student or making them wait until I can reach them. The ability to listen to passages of text at the students own pace reduces their frustration of having to depend on others for information. They have the freedom to go as slow or as fast as they need. It also allows them to replay material as many times as they need to comprehend tough concepts.
