Reading Strategies and Writing Strategies books by Jennifer Serravallo are excellent resources that will help our students both in school and at home become stronger readers and writers. A majority of the students in my school struggle with reading and writing and score at a below average level on their state assessments. In fact, most students admit to not loving reading and/or writing. As teachers, we struggle to find the best resources possible to help our students learn to enjoy reading and writing. Without a strong base for reading and writing, kids will continue to struggle. We need strong students today for stronger leaders tomorrow. The books I am requesting will give us all the chance to help our students reach their goals and feel successful and smart.
