  • Recording Studio

    Funded Dec 24, 2022

We cannot thank you enough for your sincere generosity. You're helping me to fill our classroom with exciting new musical opportunities! This project will make it possible for me to build a small recording space in my classroom. Grades 3-5 have had some really exciting opportunities to create their own digital music. We are working with recording and remixing sounds into GarageBand to create original music that is more relatable to this generation. I love that the kids are getting excited about composing and performing the most amazing original compositions! I am so grateful that I am able to begin providing opportunities for students to make music through technology that will connect them to people and music of other cultures around the globe. It is so important for my kids to see that music is for everyone and we can all create beautiful music. Thanks again for your generosity. It is deeply appreciated and will contribute immensely to our learning and music making!”

  • Scientifically Musical

    Funded Aug 29, 2022

We cannot thank you enough for helping to fill our classroom with diverse musical experiences! Whether it be a puzzle, piano circuit board, or coding activity, the kids were ecstatic to see the new materials in centers. My students come from a high poverty background and most students don't have access to these technology/music resources at home. I love seeing the "quiet kid" in class sit down building station and create a musical masterpiece! These materials have opened up a whole new STEAM curriculum for me to teach the students that really encourages creativity, problem solving, and critical thinking.

I am so grateful that I am able to foster such extensive musical opportunities that are accessible to all students. It is so important for my kids to see that music is for everyone. Thanks again for your generosity. It is deeply appreciated and has contributed immensely to our learning and music making.”

  • Diverse Books

    Funded Oct 30, 2021

We cannot thank you enough for helping to fill our bookshelves with musical books! Whether it be a song book or a book about cultural music, the kids love thumbing through the shelf to find the perfect one to read.

The kids were ecstatic to see our first bookshelf and love sitting in the reading nook during "Fun Fridays" and reading through as many as they can. I loved seeing the "quiet kid" in class sit down, pull out a song book, and sing to three of his peers. It was really cool.

Our students come from a high poverty background and many students don't have access to reading resources at home. Additionally, 29% of our students are english language learners and will really benefit from having access to these in my classroom.

I am so grateful that I was able to build such an extensive musical library that portrays the people and music of other cultures around the globe. It is so important for my kids to see that music is for everyone. I also love connecting stories from our classroom library to our world music units.

Thanks again for your generosity. It is deeply appreciated and has contributed immensely to our learning and music making!”

  • Playing the Keys!

    Funded Oct 21, 2021

We cannot thank you enough for supporting music making in our classroom! Kids always get excited on our piano days and now we have enough headphones and benches for everyone!

They were ecstatic to see that everyone can practice together rather than working in shifts and we can learn faster too!

Our students come from a high poverty background and many students wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to play musical instruments, so I'm glad I can provide them with that in my class.

I have many ABA students who have auditory processing issues who really benefit from being able to put on some headphones and just focus on their own music making. Without these resources, they mat not be able to successfully be involved in music.

Thanks again for your generosity. It is deeply appreciated and has contributed immensely to our learning and music making!”

  • Digital Composition

    Funded Apr 12, 2021

We cannot thank you enough for your sincere generosity. You're helping me to fill our classroom with exciting new musical opportunities!

My students come from a high poverty background and many students don't have access to technology at home. Additionally, about 30% of our students are english language learners and will really benefit from having access to these tools in my classroom.

I have been able to utilize these iPads with all grade levels in music class. The younger grades have used music games to help practice important musical concepts and to explore sounds. Grades 3-5 have had some really exciting opportunities to create their own digital music! We are working with recording and remixing sounds into GarageBand to create original music that is more relatable to this generation. It warms my heart to see the reserved kids that don't always participate in music, get excited about creating their own and compose the most amazing original compositions!

I am so grateful that I am able to begin providing opportunities for students to make music through technology that will connect them to people and music of other cultures around the globe. It is so important for my kids to see that music is for everyone and we can all create.

I would love to have a set of ukuleles for my little elementary performers! I play my ukulele for them every day and they always beg me to teach them how to play mine. I would love to see them perform on their own ukuleles and put together some lessons that showcase a ukulele ensemble, so they can all perform together. I intend to use these ukuleles with grades 2-5 throughout the whole school year. These ukuleles would not only help improve their fine motor skills, but ukuleles can also be incorporated into solfege and singing activities, and of course they're FUN! Thank you for taking the time to read this.
