  • The First 180

    Funded Oct 21, 2023

Thank you so much for your donations to my classroom. The students and I appreciate every single last one of you. All of your donations from the paper, to the candy, to the slime, and much more, has been used by myself in the students.

I can't believe that we have already pass 100 and one days of school. The students will be gearing up to finish out the school year strong. The wipes are used daily, and have come in handy and making sure to keep the classroom clean and sanitized. With your help, we have had a very healthy year and we look forward to learning so much more, as May is right around the corner.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Smith

  • Time to Restock!

    Funded Feb 27, 2023

The end of the 2022 2023 school year ended wonderfully, thanks to all the donations from this project. With your help, the students stayed safe from sickness and was able to come to school every day so that they could be prepared for end of year testing. The wipes and hand sanitizer were used daily and continue even this year to be the biggest way to combat sickness in the classroom. COVID numbers began to pick back up, but these items did serve as a line of defense. Thank you for contributing to our classroom. It does not go without notice.”

  • Treats for the Treasure Box !

    Funded Nov 28, 2022

The students are grateful for the donations provided to this project. They look forward to "working" their classroom jobs each month and receiving their prize. We have jobs such as vacuuming the carpet, passing out wipes, carrying the clipboard during transitions, sweeping the floor, organizing the library and games are, etc. When they first saw all the prizes made available to them, the slime was their top choices. We ran out of that one the quickest. It is a sensory item that they enjoy manipulating and it smells pretty good too. At the end of the month there is a rush to see which job they can sign up for next month. Thank you so much for funding this project. It has been a game changer.”

  • Brighten Up Our Day!

    Funded Sep 3, 2022

I can not describe how truely thankful we are to each and every one of you who donated. It does not go without appreciatation. It's the little things that really brighten up our day. Having a warm and colorful environment to walk into every day and learn in, fosters a sense of warmth. The kids, parents, educators, etc love the posters hanging around the room, the colorful sitting area, the colorful paper used for notes and sectioning out the various topics and the way that we use all of these items even in our projects. Thanks again for all you have contributed.”

  • A Year to Remember

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you for donating to our classroom. I can not describe how truely appreciative we are for each and every item that was requested and filled.

Everyday the students are using the items that were provided. Our biggest need, with Covid not being that far behind us, was the wipes. We go through more and 20 per day, in an effort to keep our enivronment clean. We also clean our rugs, that are used in our flexible seating area, which the students love to sit in, and our classroom floors. The Swifer Wet Jet has been a true game changer. The colerful paper is a great addition to our interactive notebooks. They are used to section off each topic we are studying in math and make it easy for the students to go back into theor notes and find what they are looking for. Thanks again!”

  • Incredible Indoor Recess!!

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

With the year coming to an end, this is the last time these fifth grade students will experience "recess." They are on to middle school and have already expressed how they will miss having a recess at all. Thank you for donating these games to our class. The biggest hits were UNO and BOP it! They always were trying to break each other's high score. Old Maid was another huge hit with the kids. They had never never of it and it became an instant favorite. With such a wide selection to choose from, our class became the favorite place to be if you wanted an "Incredible Indoor Recess".”

  • We're Back! The First Year after Virtual

    Funded Sep 3, 2021

Thank you for the donations to my very first physical classroom. As you can see in the photos, I started with a pretty blank canvas. The items we received help create an environment that promotes creativity, comfort, focus, inclusiveness and much more. The surge protector helps with the various technology powered items throughout the room; the lamination sheets guarantees that important information can be displayed without the worry of damage; the Lysol wipes, masks, hand sanitizer and disinfection spray are crucial and used daily to minimize the spread of Covid during this pandemic. The brightly colored letters and boarders really give our class that extra boost to making our room inviting.”

This project will help setup my first physical classroom. Can you believe it?! My third year teaching and my first time setting up my very own room. I came out of student teaching and took over my mentors old classroom. This was in the spring 2020, two months before the pandemic hit. The next school year, 2021, we were completely virtual. The most I set up was my Google Classroom which I still plan to incorporate from time to time. These materials will foster an environment that promotes freedom, inclusion and comfort.
