My students use headphones when they complete reading activities on RazKids. They use headphones when we listen to stories being read to us on the Boom Box. They also use headphones when we get lucky enough to borrow the I-pads. Unfortunately, not every family can provide headphones for their children. Some of my students have them, but others don't. We are now in February, and instead of reaching out to parents yet again, I'm looking for a new way to get my hands on enough headphones for all. Imagine a child who is just learning to read, being able to follow along in a book on a program like Epic. Imagine the smile on a child's face when they finally get to sit in the "Boom Box Center" and listen to the same story as their classmates. That's what I'm imagining!
