I have goals to make my students strong and safe movers. To achieve this goal, it is a necessity for me to include the anatomy portion of my dance lessons. This information allows my students to understand where the movement is coming from which permits for a deeper learning experience. Having a human-size skeleton model available in my class would allow for an interactive lesson on dance anatomy. In college, my professor had a skeleton model and let us place pieces of tape to label the skeleton muscles and it helped me become more in tune with my body, which made me dance smarter and safer.
