My students rely on visual schedules to help them understand what's planned for the day and to help them transition between activities. Using actual photos of my students engaged in the different activities not only excites them, but helps them recognize events in a more powerful way than general or cartoon images. With an instant photo printer, personalized visual schedules could be made quickly and easily. Additionally, my social-emotional curriculum incorporates social stories, and my students learn best from stories that have actual pictures of them engaging in appropriate behaviors. With an instant photo printer, I could create social stories as soon as I recognize a social skill that needs to be reinforced or taught. Visual cues help remind my students of classroom expectations and I'd love to use pictures of them as the cues, to remind them that they already know what to do. An instant photo printer would make this so easy! Thank you so much for any donation you're able to give! My students and I can't wait to see this project come to life in our classroom!
