These Ukuleles will teach students how to read music, be a part of a music-making team, be disciplined, have patience, care for a special item, and to spread the gift of music to others. I am hoping to get each grade a set of instruments. This way, by 5th grade, students will have played percussion, recorders, piano, ukuleles, and guitar. So far we have a small piano keyboard set. We get to spend a unit on piano throughout the grades. The students get so excited and are so focused every time. My hope is to introduce them to more instruments so that they can develop musical skills at a young age. I hope to hear them on the stage! They would feel so proud!
