    Thank you so much for donating to our project. The students have really enjoyed all the materials during our Artist in Focus studies. They have been so useful and fun.

    When the students first saw the materials, they couldn't wait to get their hands on them. We have used them when we paint, use water colors, and draw using our Pastels. It's so nice to have everything so visible. Every Friday we learn about a different famous artist. Right now we are learning about impressionist artists. The students can't wait to use their materials to learn more about art.”

A new rug for my students would encourage them to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times they might choose a location on the rug . Currently my students have a plain green rug. Making sure students are comfortable and feel like they're at home is an essential component in motivating them to work hard. With a new rug, students will be able to remember where their seats are and have their own working space. When the students are given their own space, they can worry less about everyone else and focus on their own learning. The carpet will help my students by allowing them to have a spot that they can call their own. Another reason this rug would be beneficial is for working in partnerships. Students will know exactly who their partners are and will have space to talk to their partner because of this new rug. I have seen how small changes positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that a new rug with personal spots will help us grow even more!
