Small groups of 8-10 sixth grade students can work during lunch and recess to strengthen their skill set. These groups meet for 4 weeks at a time. Students are selected through self-referral, parent, or teacher. After receiving lessons on a targeted skill, students will use the crafting items I am asking for to apply their newly learned skill. Students will have fun connecting with 6th grade peers while building skills in the area of growth mindset, friendships, and stressing less to name a few. Then, apply their new skill through crafting! After attending all 4 weeks, students come to know one another and have the confidence to apply the skills they have learned.
