"Success & Joy in the Adaptive Music Room"
Funded Feb 8, 2024This project has changed the interaction my students are having with music so much. Previous to receiving these items, my students didn't have instruments that were appropriate for the skills so their music experience was lacking or non existent. Now my students can interact with instruments and music in a way that meets their needs. These instruments are also easily transported room to room which allows them to be used in their regular classroom for extra music engagement as well. Thank you for your generosity and providing a positive music experience for these students!”

Learning the Keys to Music!
Funded Sep 21, 2021This project has been such a fun new addition to my music classroom. Students are taking the information they have learned in music and applying it to a new instrument. We are currently creating our own compositions and then playing them on the keyboards!
Students are loving getting to use these in class. They come into music and ask if we are going to be playing the keyboards. Our next step is to start learning the proper hand placement when playing piano. They will be able to play a complete song using the correct positioning.
I am so thankful for this new fun addition to my classroom!”

Drums ALIVE!
Funded Nov 22, 2020I cannot thank you enough for providing the materials for our Drums Alive project. This project has impacted every grade here at Angus Valley! From Kindergarten to 5th Grade, they enjoy this fun activity! This activity provides the students with movement while also reinforcing the beat & rhythms we have already learned in music. This has been especially helpful for students with ADHD who might otherwise struggle to sit and listen in a typical classroom environment.
The students are always so excited when they see that we are doing the "bouncy ball drums" as they call them! We have found so many fun songs to groove to! We sometimes do this as an entire class activity but often this is just a great tool to have when students first come into my room. They tire out after a few songs so we don't always have the energy to do it the entire music class.
This is really making a super fun difference in my classroom and I am so thankful!”
