Welcome to 2020! As a teacher of 14 years, I have witnessed first hand the effect technology has had on our transforming world. Technology is an essential to our everyday lives. Technology is and has changed the way we teach and reach all students at their level. It gives teachers the ability to educate their lowest student and their most gifted student simultaneously making students feel empowered by their successes. There’s no such thing as a classroom of students that all learn the same way at the same time, teachers are given the daunting task of educating all of their students so that they can reach their fullest potential. With the use of computer programs and apps, this process is achievable. In my classroom, I educate the future leaders of our community. Each and everyone of the students that walk through my classroom door deserves an opportunity to have access to the keys of a successful future. Our curriculum provides a multitude of opportunities for students use of technology but unfortunately the parish’s budget does not. With security updates, many of the computers that I have in my classroom now will be obsolete. I have four chromeboxes in my room that will be operable after the system updates. That’s not enough! I HAVE A DREAM, and for my dream to give my students a fair and equal chance in this technologically advance society, I will need your help! Please considered donating to this righteous cause, the future of tomorrow needs your help.
