Each student learns in individual ways. In our class, we use a specialized curriculum designed for student with autism. The curriculum incorporates math, reading, and writing with differentiation on three different levels to best fit the needs of our students. iPads provide students with an opportunity to work along with the teacher. They are able to follow along with lessons, high light text, provide color and sound modifications to help guide students in becoming more successful. The iPad keeps track of the students progress on monthly lessons. This is important for teachers to show parents the growth for their child! Most special education classrooms do not use the typical "paper and pencil" method. We are no different. These iPads provide parents with a clear understanding of what each student is learning.
