I would like to give my students age appropriate books that are interesting and at their reading level. With our school starting Distance Learning this fall, I'd like to make a Magical Reading Book Bag for each kid to use at home. Inside the bag, I will fill it with books, a reading log and a notebook for them to record their readings. For many of my students, it will be the only books they own that are at their reading level. For some of my students, it may be the only books they'll hold during Distance Learning. A book is so powerful in many ways. It can be a child's escape, their dream, their imaginations, and/or their exercise of the brain.
