Our PE department has only five pairs of fitness boxing gloves hand targets. I was told they were too expensive to order more but I can not teach my classes of 35 students without enough equipment. Martial Arts teaches self confidence, respect and independence, when properly taught. As a Black Belt in Kuk Sool Won (Korean-Martial Arts), teaching fitness through martial arts has been something my students at my previous school really enjoyed. Kickboxing is an excellent unit to teach a new and exciting activity that everyone can learn regardless of ability. My goal is to teach the class in a safe and welcoming environment with a focus on increasing their aerobic capacity.
