At DR High School, we are dedicated to creating a challenging and comprehensive AP program. This provides our students with the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school and helps best prepare them for the rigors of college. The requested materials will be used to help students study with additional resources and study guides while the furniture, appliances and decor will help them have a comfortable and collaborative space to call their own. These materials will be used only at school. We have over 350 students taking over 750 AP classes for the 2021-2022 school year. Because these students have to study so hard for their AP Exams in May and because they have made this academic commitment, we would like to give them a space to call their own. This student lounge will be open for individual student study and study groups during both lunches and will be supervised by a staff member at all times. In addition, this space will be available to teachers running study sessions or other exam related activities. The requested materials will be used to help students study with additional resources and study guides while the furniture, appliances and decor will help them have a comfortable and collaborative space to call their own.
