We were over the moon about the opportunity to have awesome new basketballs, and portable basketball goals that give our girls the chance to progress. The smiles on the girl's faces were absolutely priceless. These resources will be utilized to keep the girls intrigued, and excited about learning basketball. The new portable goals allow us to work with strength progression so kids don't get discouraged, and continue to practice until they're caught up to the level they should be at for their age.
Many of our students were so behind that they would quit because of their feelings of embarrassment. These young girls are now showing up for every practice, and participating in every opportunity. Thanks so much again for the unbelievable resources to give the gift of learning such a wonderful game!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Mission Tiger and 2 other donors.

During the financial budget crisis, I started noticing the disappearing eagerness to learn because of the lack of resources. The fact is that these students have daily challenges many of us won't understand, that they go home to daily. These students also are used to having the bare minimum, instead of quality learning resources. My goals are to start 2020 off with a positive vision for the students to focus on a vision of equality! I want to provide both girls and boys basketball equipment for each P.E. class to use during our long basketball lessons in the Spring. Providing new basketball equipment and basketballs will give these students an interesting path for developing knowledge about the game of basketball. The quality equipment will allow these kids to experience, and open their eyes to new knowledge. I have to provide these students with new and exciting ways to exercise in order to give them a fresh feeling for the future! The equipment I chose will allow the kids to do several unique new experiences in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. These goals will transition over to success in the classroom. During these tough times, there is no doubt that support and the sense of equality will get these less fortunate students back on their way to being successful!
