  • Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

    Thank you so very much for donating to our grant. My students have needed reliable headphones while working on self paced technological activities and assignments.

    I can't tell you how nice it is to have my students able to focus on their own learning because they have headphones to aid them. Without the headphones, the children are incredibly distracted by all the other sounds happening in the room.

    As I explained to my students how we received these headphones, the kiddos were surprised how strangers would help us out. With this in mind, they are being extra careful with utilizing them. I makes my heart warm to see the pride they have in the new headphones.”

  • Making Math Fun!

    Second Grade delves into some tough Math topics and the materials from my project, Making Math Fun! have really helped my students learn and master these topics. When the donations arrived, the children were super excited to see what came in and even more excited when they realized they would have their very own manipulatives to use. This grant aided in not sharing germs during the global pandemic.

    Learning how to add and subtract with regrouping is a very challenging task. The unifix cubes purchased allow the students to visualize the numbers and physically manipulate them as they add and subtract. It makes the concept more concrete for them. The plastic coins allow the children to compare and physically move the coin values along the number chart showing the amount they have. Once again, making an abstract concept more understandable.

    We will use the unifix cubes again when we dive into addition and subtraction with 3 digit numbers. I look forward to utilizing these great materials to help my students grow.”

This will allow them to better understand how to add, subtract as well as lay the foundation for multiplication and division. Unifix cubes are a colorful hands on manipulative the add in measurement as well as adding and subtracting with regrouping. These materials will be a Magical Mathematical hands on addition to our classroom.
