Many of our students come from cultures outside of the US. Often, the best English reader in the house is the middle school student. Even for those that are native English speakers, reading is not always a focus in the home or life is so busy that family time spent reading is rare. With these books, my students can read to their families as well as engage in an amazing book about how difficult moving as well as an undiagnosed learning disability can be. The power of friendship and helping others are such strong themes in this book. My goal is to bring our school community together in creating an evening event to celebrate reading our book! Help me make this happen.
