  • FRA: Future Readers Of America

    Funded Jul 28, 2022

Thank you for helping my students to read books that they can identify with. These stories select tell the stories of teens who act like them, look like them, and speak like them. In a time where inclusion and diversity is at a high demand, it gives me great pleasure to aid my students in that way. With your help we are creating life long readers and powerful legacies.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Robinson

I want to thank you from the depth of my soul. Knowing my students will be able to engross themselves in the novel and actually enjoy it, excites me. My students and I thank you! You did not have to donate, but you did. God bless you and thank you.”

The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. These books will enhance my students desire to read. Our school is unable to fund class set books; therefore our students are not able to read the same books. This limits the activities I am able to create in my classroom. Purchasing these books will also expand their knowledge of the Holocaust. It also helps to expand their ability to empathize, connect, and grow with the characters in the books. Students would have the chance to take the books home, read them with their parents, and have rich and intense classroom discussions. Purchasing the books will also increase their responsibility as a student. The books can create responsible, divergent, and strong readers.
