8th Graders Save Lives!

I was able to teach my lesson before classes were cancelled for covid-19. My students were really excited to learn to use the tourniquets. On that class day I saw students not only learn life saving skills, but also imagine themselves in a position to actually help people. They have shifted their thoughts from seeing themselves as just another kid to seeing themselves as individuals in our community that can make a positive impact. This is exactly the shift I wanted to see in my students.
