During the month of April, we devote an entire unit of study to recycling and taking care of our planet. Our curriculum provides lots of books, songs, and activities about recycling, but no opportunities to explore the process in the real-world. My kids love exploration! Our classroom focuses strongly on learning by doing, and we would love to tour our local Homestead Creamery and farm to witness the recycling process. Homestead Creamery is known for their fantastic dairy products that are served in recyclable glass bottles. The tour would give us the opportunity to learn about their recycling process first-hand.
