  • Fostering the Entrepreneurial Vision!

    My students and I wish to thank you for the whiteboard tables, conference table, and office chairs that have transformed our traditional classroom into a collaborative workspace. The new furniture creates a classroom setting more reflective of an entrepreneurial, collaborative workspace found in today's tech offices.

    The students now enjoy ergonomical seating in a setting that fosters the entrepreneurial spirit and has them engaged in hands-on, individual, and group projects that foster creative thinking for real-life applications. They love the new look of the classroom and look forward to coming to class so they can work together, share ideas, develop critical thinking skills, grow their visions, and succeed in entrepreneurial activities! The cushioned seating has made a huge difference in their comfort level and general attitude about the class! The whiteboard tables allow for easy brainstorming sessions. The conference table and chairs has students competing for leadership roles that will allow them to sit at the manager's table in the executive chairs!

  • iPads + VE Students = Success

    My students and I were so excited and thankful to receive the two IPads from DonorsChoose to use in our classroom now and at future competitions and trade shows! The addition of the technology tools has made our class' virtual business activities much more efficient and productive. The students can more readily access the online VE class materials, engage in virtual sales activities with other VE firms, create, develop, and enhance their virtual business website, and respond to virtual customer needs. Before getting the IPads, students lost a lot of productivity time because of the very slow and very old mini laptops they were having to use. Now, they can quickly access the sites and materials needed for the day and engage in meaningful learning activities without delay. The IPads have helped relieve frustration related to dated technology tools, and they have enabled the students to enjoy class more and devote more time to actual learning activities rather than losing time waiting on their technology tools to work. Thank you for making a positive difference for our students! We appreciate your involvement in and commitment to bettering the educational experience for students and teachers!”

Virtual Enterprise students engage in the full experience of starting a virtual business from scratch and making it successful in the virtual world. To do so, they need current technology tools that assist with efficiency and productivity. The use of iPads will allow students to be mobile at Virtual Enterprise trade shows where they compete against other virtual businesses for sales revenue and establish customer relations that sustain their virtual business endeavors. iPad use in the classroom would help the Accounting Department students utilize Quickbooks to record sales and maintain accurate financial records. The Marketing and Sales students would have technology tools that allow them to engage in producing persuasive advertisement campaigns to attract customers. The Operations, Technology, and Human Resources students could work vigorously to produce documents that contain policies, procedures, and communications that promote safety, productivity, efficiency in the workplace. With the use of iPads, students will have the opportunity to compete successfully at trade shows by having internet access that allows them to record sales and provide immediate customer receipts.
