The furniture and materials I have requested will be added to our special education preschool classroom to further creativity, functional play, and to bring color and life to our learning experiences. Hands-on materials provided by your donations give special education children various opportunities to engage in learning activities that are real-life and experience based. The rug and shelving will be put to use in our block and building center. I will now have a place to put the wooden blocks that were passed along to my classroom from a retired teacher. Along with these blocks, the children will learn to build structures to support the rug environment coupled with toy cars, people, and animals. Other items I have requested include manipulatives and visual tools to engage children in learning activities beyond providing only auditory input. Children need to touch, explore, move, and do for optimal learning at this stage of development. Thank you so much for providing learning materials that will be put to use by special education students for years to come.
