My students come from homes where sometimes it is difficult to find food. Now that learning has moved into these homes our families are struggling to not only have the technology to keep supporting their children's learning but also the materials to keep them engaged. As an early childhood teacher there is only so much that I can do through a computer screen. My young students need hands on experiences and learning opportunities. Their families need these supplies in order to create these hands on experiences and help their learning come alive. With these Legos, letter practice books, crayons and other materials my students will be able to enhance their fine motor skills, literacy skills and show their learning through using their imaginations and creations. With these materials my students will be able to continue their learning at home so that they can return to school with some of the basic skills they need to continue learning.
