My students love to read but my library needs to be developed. I have many more English books than Spanish, but the kids really need to read extensively in both languages in order to become literate in both. The books I am requesting are going to be used for our book clubs, so students will have the experience of both reading and discussing what they have read with their peers. With 6 copies of each book, I will have enough to provide for all students in each small group. These books will inspire my students to love reading and feel a sense of pride in their heritage.
