In Class Support
Funded Oct 23, 2023Imagine the excitement of Christmas morning. That is what you did for my students. They came in one day and saw boxes and boxes of goodies. Their excitement was contagious. We slowly opened each package, savoring each new discovery. Together we explored new books, new supplies, new snacks, and new sensory items. They got to flip through crisp new pages, knowing somebody cared enough about them to buy them something new. We all enjoyed a snack together, a much needed break before lunch that allowed them to power through hard things. We got to scrub the table, the white board and all the chairs, making our classroom clean, fresh, and smelling great!
To see their smiles is so see innocent joy. They want little, they work with little, and are used to little...but to know someone out there cares for them? That is immeasurable.
Thank you for supporting them. That you for supporting me. Thank you for supporting US.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Aponte

Funded May 5, 2022The start of a new school year is upon us. As we continue through October, the materials that you have provided have become integral to my student's learning.
All games purchased have been introduced and included weekly into our "Fun Friday" activities. The kids are having a blast trying to determine beginning, ending, and middle sounds. The reading comprehension work books are for my older kiddos and they think they're VERY cool now that they have their very own workbook!
I love to read to my students. My hope is that one day my students love reading as much as I do. The books that you have added to my library are well loved and read frequently. The kids eat them up, either having them read to them or even reading independently!
My students continue to give their all. These kids just want to learn. I appreciate you believing in them and for providing them with some much needed supplies.
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
Mrs. Aponte”

Funded Jun 5, 2020One day, in March, my students went home for the day and never returned to school. To this day, they are still learning remotely. My students have not been given many advantages in their lives. That being said, my students are fighting their way to the top, every day, every assignment and every skill they master brings them that much closer to their goals.
We continue to remain remote. My students still continue to log-in and give it their all daily. Your donation has made that so much easier for them and for me, their teacher. I've been able to have fun, different and exciting projects and assignments for them. I've been able to display their work that they've sent to me and I've been able to display my anchor charts somewhere other than my shower wall! We've all been allowed to excel by being given the tools needed to do so.
Your donation matters. I hope that you know that. I hope you understand the impact that you made on these kiddos. I hope you know how much I appreciate you trusting me with your money, trusting me to do what is best for my students.
Like I always say to my students and their families: "we are all in this together". People like you really do prove that statement.”

2x2=Math Manipulatives!
Funded Jan 18, 2020As you already know, the students that I service are high-need and low-income. My little office is a place that I want to feel like a second home. The packages for the things that I ordered were delivered at all different times. Each group got to have the excitement and anticipation of helping me open each box. Their excitement at opening fraction magnets or place value tiles was addicting and contagious. It was like Christmas morning! We spent the next three days using the whiteboards and markers showing our work to display for our peers. I've never seen so many of my students so willing to do multiplication work!
The other exciting facet to this project was receiving cleaning supplies. With the winter in New England, sickness often runs rampant. My kiddos had a blast volunteering to clean the classroom. Tissue boxes have been put in strategic places around the room, chairs, tables and desks have been sanitized and our classroom feels clean and healthy!
The only thing that I want to do is love and educate these children. Thank you for making that job so much easier!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Aponte
