By providing sensory equipment that will allow the creation of a sensory room, students will be able to regulate their sensory system and learn to maintain more focus in the classroom. They will be able to acquire the input they need to be more successful in their academics while also learning self-regulation skills and work on their gross/fine motor skills. Sensory rooms can help improve behaviors and promote a positive learning environment that helps students learn and grow. Providing a sensory room for students with special needs offers them a comfortable place to build social skills, get necessary input and even develop self-soothing skills that students may need in order to live a happy and successful life.
