Cooling the Gym

Help me give my students a better learning environment in the gym. Our school gym struggles with appropriate temperatures for the children when in activity. We often have students begin to over heat when in activity.

  • Technology Comforts in the Gym

    Funded Apr 19, 2024

Thank you for funding technology in the gym. The children are excited to have technology interaction in the gym. Now they are able to independently research sport or a specific skill in sport. There interest in all sports have increased tremendously. The technology in the gym will also increase their reading and research skills. I am planning new ideas with my technology component because the school just purchased new smart boards. The children are learning very quickly on how to operate everything.”

  • Healthier Generation

    Funded Jan 8, 2024

I am very excited that this project funded. As you see frequently m the pictures the students are able to research different sports before class begins. This creates more interest in the sport we are teaching. It allows students to dive deeper into the sport and research athletes that are competing competitively in the sport of interest.

I would like to think the set of the IPad will help create a students interest in a career in sport, perhaps a team owner, athlete, or broadcaster.

Through the use of technology in the gym students are practicing their research their reading and research skills. It s a wonderful addition to our gym classroom.”

  • Rainy Days Can Be Fun Days

    Funded Jan 8, 2024

The children were very excited to see the new equipment for rainy day activities. They shared the items with each other better than they have ever done before. They also treated the equipment with respect. For example placing the items back into the containers with the directions. They constructed designs from the directions as well as from their personal creativity. All of my students loved these new items young and old. The children just smiled so much during class when they played together with the new equipment. I loved the items because it pulls creativity from the students. This is a wonderful addition to our equipment room.”

  • A Healthier Generation

    Funded Aug 25, 2023

Thank you so much for making this possible for my students. They are already enjoying the opportunities the I pad provides to them. Their fitness opportunities have expanded greatly. When in class they patiently wait there turn to have the experience of using the I pad. They enjoy finding their classroom roster and helping each other record their scores. It has become such an important class activity we have assigned team leaders and rotate the leadership roles biweekly. Soon I plan to expand the role of the I pad in my classroom. The children are coming up with different ideas concerning the educational use of the iPad. We will very soon have this worked out.

    Thank you again

These games will help the students in their coordination skills, thinking skills, cooperative learning skills and more. Many children have lost the opportunity to play games that directly interact with others. Exposing them to the old fashion type games will help with interacting And also help to build friendships. These games will be helpful with engaging all students in learning pods (small areas) the school has set up for special activities. We have selected games that requires the students to practice their reading skills and Math skills. The students will also develop cognitive strategies that will be helpful in many areas of learning.
