  • Welcome Back to in Person!

    Funded Jul 20, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity in supporting our classroom! We are grateful to have received the supplies you donated; they have been an incredible support to our students, teachers, and support staff.

When we returned from distance learning, we came back to a classroom we had left for about 2 years. We left the space as it would have been left on a Friday afternoon and returned to old classwork and a lack of supplies. With your donations, we were able to get started on recreating a classroom space and have the necessary supplies to ensure success.

    Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Castillo

  • Flexible & Organized Classroom!

    Funded Jul 20, 2021

Thank you so much for your support in funding this project! All of these supplies and tools were greatly appreciated and have been used in our classroom every day since their arrival!

Most of the tools and resources in this project were focused on flexible seating options for our classroom. They have been crucial in helping our students feel supported, engaged and at times relaxed in our space. Our students loved these new resources and continue to use them every day. The balance balls, desks and different desk arrangements have made our space more welcoming and a special place for our students to relax in between classes.

Our space serves students with disabilities and this project made our even more supportive of our students' needs.

Thank you again, I really appreciate your support.”

  • Technology and Classroom Supplies

    Funded Feb 21, 2020

Thank you so much for your support in funding this project! We appreciate how much support you gave our classroom during this time. Access to new technology was crucial at this time in my teaching career and very important for the students who did not have access to computers at home.

Due to your generosity we were able to have access to much needed chrome books in our special education classroom. The use of chromebooks was helpful to students who needed supports integrated into their assignments with the use of speech to text and text to speech extensions when working on their written classwork. You also supported the use of a computer when reading a text aloud through a video and/or audiobook.

Today we still have access to these computers and the students in my classroom use them every day.”

    Ms. Castillo

The materials listed on our projects are to benefit the Special Education Classroom. We are in need of five Chromebooks for more technology, and classroom supplies for all of our students who receive special education services on our campus. These materials will benefit students by having the access to technology in the Resource Room whenever it is needed. Some of these materials also include basics like colored pencils, binders and markers, that are essential for leaning projects. Also, we have included a few items that would be considered luxury items, such as headphones, a whiteboard easel, and a projector are things we need that are not a part of our classroom at the moment and would benefit more whole class interaction but also individual moments of concentration.
