Circle Time Fun And Writing Activities!
Funded Dec 24, 2020Thank you for your kind donation. The students absolutely love the new circle time center. We use it every morning to change the date, count how many days in the month, rhyme, and practice the letter of the day.
The letter tracing is great for our younger students to get the daily practice of writing the alphabet. They have so much fun writing with the magic pads while they get to practice their letter writing.
The older students practice writing the sight words using the sight word boards. They get extra excited with these because they get to use their white board markers.”

Feeling all the Feels in our Classroom!
Funded Jun 27, 2020Thank you for your amazing donation. My students will be so excited when we get a chance to use the items that have been donated to the classroom. It will definitely meet their sensory needs and help them be calm after an exciting time at recess and lunch. The bean bag chair will also give them a place to sit comfortably in our quiet corner so that they may take some time to read a book. The container for the kinesthetic sand will help keep the sand contained when they are in centers and using the sand.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Google.org and 2 other donors.Comfortable Seating and Visual Timer
Funded Feb 29, 2020My students were so excited when I showed them the new items that were donated to our classroom. The seat cushions, chair bands and visual timer were all a great addition to the classroom. With the chair bands my students that had a hard time focusing because of their wiggly feet were very excited to have something to kick and bounce, while keeping their attention on the task at hand.
Our new visual timer is a great way to show the students how much time they have left on a task. When the timer is set the light is green, and when they have a few minutes left the timer will make a sound and the light will change to yellow. Now the students know they have 2-3 minutes left on what they are working on. Finally the alarm will sound and the light will flash red indicating time is up on the task.
Finally, the comfortable cushions have been a great reward system that the students earn when they have received a certain amount of tokens. With only 6 cushions and 11 students this was the best way to use the cushions in a fair way.”

Sensory Flexible Seating and Colorful Storage
Funded Feb 27, 2020Thank you for your donations. You are making a direct impact on the lives of my students. As a first year teacher, your generosity means the world to my class and I. I know these items will help them fulfill both their sensory and academic needs. I hope this adds to my class in a way where students will be eager and ecstatic to learn. I also hope they feel their class as a home away from home. Thank you again for your support for my students.”
