Physical Education equipment is vital to teaching PE in a standards-based model, TK-5th grades, throughout our large district. Students learn sports skills and teamwork while building physical fitness and positive sportsmanship. The poly spots enable us to quickly set up and teach activities that benefit all students. We teach various skills, from throwing and catching, to kicking, to body movement. Students benefit physically, but we also strive to build self-esteem. Our program helps classroom teachers by providing required, standards-based Physical Education lessons. In addition, more movement for students enhances their classroom learning. The X-Ploration model teaches Physical Education to approximately 17,000 elementary school-age students in our school district.
