  • Visualize Virtually Anything!

    Funded Jan 5, 2021

Thank you all so much for donating. Your donation has allowed me to use a document camera so my students can have a better understanding of math concepts, hand writing, and more. The document camera projects onto the computer screen and students see exactly what I am working on in the classroom. That means my students are able to see and complete lessons just as I would during a typical school year, even virtual students.

This document camera has helped myself and my students as we navigate through some of the challenges with virtual and in-person teaching and learning. My students are most excited that they can see as I am writing something down, or as I am using manipulatives just as they would in the classroom. My students benefit from seeing what I am writing and how I am holding a pencil, or completing the given task by seeing exactly what is asked and expected.

Students benefit from direct instruction and modeling, which makes this document camera the perfect new tool to use in my classroom. If a student is having difficulty, I can show them just as they should have it at their workspace. This has truly made a positive impact on my students. We are all so appreciative of this document camera and it would not have happened without each of you! Thank you all!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Barnard

Our students benefit from multiple modalities of instruction. A document camera is a great way to show the students concepts of writing during the virtual school day, similarly to a standard school day. Kindergarten and First grade students greatly benefit from explicit math and writing instruction. With the use of a document camera, I can incorporate math questions, concepts with physical manipulatives, and writing skills. Students have overcome and adapted to a different type of school day this year. Necessary modifications have been made to allow students a quality education. With a document camera, students can visualize and see the concepts clearly on their screens as if we were in the classroom. Students can follow along with their work and see how the teacher models each concept.
