My students are enjoying learning about computer science, typing, apps, and the engineering design process. We currently use Chromebooks, but the nature of their work is better suited for larger desktop computers. These students are creating animations, designs, apps, and anything else their hearts desire through coding, and a large screen would allow for more collaboration and creativity. My vision is to have a computer lab where students can feel what it is like to be a real computer scientist. My students have already become confident in their computer knowledge, and a real computer lab would only enhance their learning.
