The materials I have requested today will help me keep my students safe in the event of an active shooter situation. My school is located in a rural area which means there is a longer response time for law enforcement to get to us. It was brought to my attention in training that many of the Sandy Hook students could have survived if they had only received the proper care in a timely manner. If someone could have had access to the appropriate supplies to stop the bleeding, many more students would have survived. So I am asking for a control bleeding kit to keep in my classroom. I have received Stop the Bleed training, now I am asking for help in getting the appropriate materials to use the training! I am also asking for assistance in purchasing stoppers and nylon rope that will help secure my classroom door.
