This spring, we hope to take a group of 7th graders to travel to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to experience a piece of our history. We need rooms at the Quality Inn for both students and adults.
Students will begin their history tour at the National Civil War Museum in Pennsylvania and make their way to discover all that Gettysburg history has to offer!
In Gettysburg, students will learn about the Civil War through an extensive tour of the Gettysburg National Military Park. They will get a real experience of what happened in the war and the importance of the Battle of Gettysburg and Gettysburg Address. Students will tour the battlefield with a guide who will show them monuments of NY regiments and sites of the battlefield like “Picketts Charge.” They will also make a stop in Lincoln Square to visit the David Wills House and to walk around downtown.
