These books are timeless and perfect for my readers! I have a set of the Piggie and Elephant books and the students love them! I hear them giggle and reread their favorites. I hear them recommend titles to their friends! I have students come into my room before school starts to read about these two lovable characters together. Won't you please help them discover the determination of Mr. Putter and Tabby, the ingenuity of Annie and Snowball, the adventures of Frog and Toad, and the hysterics of George and Martha? My students need new favorites! They get excited when they can read all the books, one right after the other of their favorite new characters. This step in beginning chapter books is crucial because once the reader is introduced to the characters, they can really focus on the plot development in the fictional storyline. These favorites are sure to get them hooked!
