  • Math Pop!

    Funded Jul 20, 2022

Thank you for helping me get these amazing materials in my students' hands. I have been wanting to have these multiplication tables since I noticed my students love pop it manipulatives. I think being able to see an array and pop it as you practice is such a fun way to get my students excited to learn their multiplication facts.

My students need to learn the multiplication table by the end of third grade, and I have noticed that it is a difficult task for them. I wanted to provide concrete and fun ways to understand multiplication. Thanks to you amazing donors, I have set up multiplication and division stations with the use of flashcards, multiplication pop toys, and writing materials in the math manipulatives area so my students can access them when they need them. I also used the fidgety toys as incentives for on task behavior and following classroom expectations.

My students face light up every time they get to use all these fun and helpful materials. They also get to work in groups, and engagement is high once they are having fun. I am so grateful you donated to my classroom project as my students are very deserving of all your support. You are really making a great positive impact in my students' education!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Suarez

  • Dream Team - Soccer Team

    Funded Apr 26, 2022

Thank you so much for your support and for making this project come to life! The Soccer Club members couldn't be happier to receive soccer balls, pinnies, and even cleats to keep and to practice every week. When I read that Donorschoose was matching team sports projects, I couldn't wait to post a project requesting supplies for my students.

My students were so excited to see me unpack all the boxes, and asked if everything was for them. Some of my students even mentioned it was their first time owning a pair of cleats, and I wish you could've been here to witness those smiles. It has been so amazing to see my students enjoy all these materials during soccer practice, and see how much they have learned. Thank you so much for providing my students with a great opportunity to develop discipline, hard work, communication, leadership, and teamwork through the best sport. I can see the great physical, emotional, and mental benefits soccer brings to my students, and I appreciate that you made this possible.

My students love playing soccer, but I think they also loved being able to look like a real soccer team with cleats, practice vests, and goalkeeper gloves. I appreciate your generosity, and I know they will treasure this experience and its benefits for many years.”

  • Financial Literacy, Here We Go!

    Funded Nov 2, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations to my project!

My students were so excited when the boxes arrived full of materials. They had a great time unpacking the boxes and looking at the materials. Right away they started asking about how we could use all these new materials. We talked together about things we could do with each material and they all came up with great ideas. So far we have used all the materials (bills, coins, cash registers, the Allowance Game, notebooks, write and wipe boards) during math stations. We also use the math notebooks every day, during math stations, and during math lessons. My students have been practicing their decision making, budgeting, and counting skills with the Allowance Game, and they really love this game!

It's been so amazing to see my students enjoy all these materials when they get to participate in math stations. I love being able to incorporate hands-on materials such as cash registers, money bills and coins, and board games that will strengthen my students' financial literacy skills. It makes them feel like they are playing and helps them grow academically each time.

To all of the Donors, how can I possibly thank you enough? My students will forever be impacted by the benefits of practicing their counting skills, decision-making, and budgeting skills. They are always so thrilled and excited to use them, and they are motivated to learn every single day. From the bottom of my heart and in representation of the students you are helping, thank you for your generosity.”

    Mrs. Suarez

  • Colorful Classrooms and Bright Futures!

    Funded Sep 24, 2021

My students were so impressed when I shared with them that we got a printer funded for the classroom. They asked me what are we going to do with the printer? and if we would be able to use it all year long? My students are so inquisitive and I love that they question everything!

To start, I have used the printer to have bilingual resources available for my students. I strive to provide a visual helper with every lesson; therefore the urge to have a color printer available at all times. My students are always using the resources I print for them. Some of the most used helpers/charts are colorful writing checklists, sentence starters charts, reading strategies, and bilingual reading response templates. We also use the printer to practice spelling and sight words every week. I really see the need to print a resource for the classroom everyday!

There are endless ways in which we could use the printer in the classroom. My students use colorful personal word walls to check their spelling and to add new vocabulary words as they learn them. Currently, my students are learning about opinion writing, and I would love to have them type their paragraphs and print them so they can publish a typed response. I know that this printer will continue to serve my current classroom in many projects, as it will with many of my future students. I really appreciate your kindness in making this project come to life. Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to provide a color printer to my students this school year. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your generosity.”

  • ALL Back to School!

    Funded Sep 13, 2021

I want to thank you for all your support in making another one of my projects a reality in my classroom. My students use and enjoy these materials every single day. Moreover, my students and families were so thankful for all the supplies they received at the beginning of the school year. I want you to know that your generosity had an amazing impact on my students' academic and social development so far. Because of your willingness to contribute, my students have all the basic materials they need such as notebooks, pencils, erasers, etc., and they take care of these materials because they are appreciative of all the donors who contributed to this project. Furthermore, with this project I was able to set up a very practical and complete writing center for my students. I used the Mesh Desk File Organizer and filled it up with loose leaf, post-its, pencils, notepads, construction paper, and many more writing materials to have my writers set up with everything they need to publish their amazing writing pieces. The writing center has been a great resource for my students. I have noticed how independent they have become when it's time to start drafting, revising, editing, and publishing. It really helped them boost up their motivation and confidence in writing tasks.

My students were very surprised to receive all of these materials, and some of them even asked: "But who bought all of this for us and why?". I explained to my students the process of how teachers request materials they need in the classroom and post it to see if generous people would donate to the project. They were mind blown about it! They were so surprised, and I could see their faces lit up with joy and appreciation.

Right now, my students are working on learning different multiplication strategies, and I have noticed how much my students benefit from exposure to different materials and hands-on activities. With materials such as pop it fidgety toys they can learn about the arrangement of objects and the amount of columns and rows to represent and understand multiplication and division in a tactile and engaging way. I would love to have these materials available for my students in my classroom.”

  • We All Need a Break!

    Funded Nov 23, 2020

There are not enough words to express my joy and gratitude for your generous donation to my class project during this unprecedented time. My students and I are so very appreciative of your support to education, and especially to Social Emotional Learning. My students have been using and enjoying the materials since early December 2020. Each one of them received a Calm Down Kit which included several fidgety toys, colored pencils, markers, headphones, sketch pads, and many more "goodies" like my students said.

Thank you so very much for helping us out. I wish you could have seen my students' faces when they heard the news about receiving a Calm Down Kit and when they actually received it. You will definitely see the impact of your contribution in the pictures of their work. They are so thrilled and proud to have this Calm Down Kit to help them represent their emotions and cope with those emotions. I know my students are developing positive coping skills through art, music, and movement thanks to your amazing contribution. Their parents were so thankful to receive all these materials and to participate in a series of SEL workshops I presented along with my colleague.

Thank you so much for helping my students and I in this time of need. We are truly thankful from the bottom of our hearts. Your support is making a big difference in the life of my students and in the world.”

  • Back To School Supplies Rock!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

I wish you could have witnessed the sheer delight of my students when they received all the school supplies you provided for them. All the items in the order arrived just on time to start the 2020-21 school year. My students were ready to start learning on day 1! We set up two sets of materials for each student (one to keep in the classroom and one to take home for virtual learning). My students received all the supplies needed to learn from home in case our schools were mandated to close, indeed schools closed for two weeks on November 19th, 2020. It gives me much joy to know they had all the school supplies they needed to learn at home.

I want you to know that my students use these materials every single day and I thank you again. Your generous gift is more impactful than I ever imagined. My students' families were very thankful to hear that generous people like you made the burden of buying school supplies the last thing on their minds during this difficult time. They couldn't believe it when I explained that through a funded project their school supply list was covered. Donors like you, not only make a huge impact on my students' lives, but promote kindness in our world!

My students deserve to have it all and certainly the basic tools to engage in learning! Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to help my students and their parents this school year. From the bottom of my heart and in representation of the families you helped, thank you for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Suarez
