I am requesting assistance to attend a professional development conference to better my expertise as a first grade teacher! At this conference, I will attend research-based workshops that will "guide [me] in creating rigorous and engaging lessons all year long." This is my fourth year teaching and I love gaining new ideas for helping my students grow academically and socially. Reading and Math are the biggest focus in many schools, so I plan to use the strategies that I learn at this conference in my classroom to help boost student performance. I am confident that attending this conference will make me a better professional and a better teacher. Thanks in advance for any and all your help!
