While my students and I inherited many instruments when I started at our school three years ago, many of them needed repairs. I put in the time on an individual basis with each instrument to ensure that temporary fixes were in place so that the instruments were, at minimum, usable. Three years later, we are in desperate need of a true repair kit to fix the instruments on a longer term basis. With this repair kit and my guidance, my students can gain the hands-on experience of learning how to repair instruments while also putting in the work to repair the instruments they need for class. This repair kit would help us get our instrument collection back on track for at least a few more years.
