Shhh ... You're in the Quite Zone
Funded Dec 13, 2024I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donations toward purchasing quality headphones for my third grade classroom. Your kindness and support means so much to my students and me.
Thanks to you, each of my students now access to durable headphones that allow them to fully engage with their individualized computer-based learning programs. These headphones have made an incredible difference in creating a focused and productive environment. The students can now work independently, without distractions or concerns about privacy, which helps them concentrate better and get the most out of their lessons.
Your contribution has not only provided a practical tool but has also sent a powerful message to my students - that their education and success matter. Their excitement when they first used their new headphones was heartwarming, and it was clear that they felt valued and supported.
On behalf of my students and myself, thank you again for your generosity and for making such a meaningful impact on our classroom. You are helping shape the future, one child at a time, and we are deeply grateful for your support.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Pelberg

Funded Dec 16, 2021When I was first notified that people had donated to our project, I immediately felt gratitude for the kindness and thoughtfulness of others. But then the momentum picked up and project was fully funded within a day or so of the first donation! And that moved me to tears. We are a small school, in a large city, fighting for our successes daily. The fact that we got noticed means the world to me and most importantly to my students.
The day the markers arrived I distributed them to the classrooms and was immediately welcomed with cheers and excitement unparalleled to anything I have seen since before Covid. Students were telling each other what color dry erase marker they hoped they would be given and how eager they were to begin completing their phonics and math work on their slates with markers that actually work! Students collaborated on expectations surrounding the use of their markers and agreed upon such procedures as making sure the lid was placed back on the marker tightly and returning them to the designated place in the room, in order to ensure the longevity of this desired resource.
Since that initial day I have seen amazing success from my students as they continue to demonstrate what they're learning with these markers. I am seeing shy students, who typically feel uncomfortable participating in a whole group setting, proudly writing their answers on their dry erase boards and holding up their work for all to see. Early literacy skills are being refined as students manipulate letters in words to make new words. Real world math problems are being solved with excitement. And most importantly, student engagement has skyrocketed and our data is trending upward.
Your generous donations helped to make our transition back to in-person learning a an exciting and meaningful one and for that we are grateful.”
