Bring on the Color!
Funded Nov 30, 2022Thank you for donating towards drawing materials for the art classroom. We are loving having new oil pastels to work with for a variety of art works. So far about half of my students (K-8) have had the chance to use them for a project.
One of the favorites is a 1st and 2nd grade study on contemporary artist Reginald Laurent. We created abstract paintings using shapes and bright colors and then added details with the beautiful, bright oil pastels. The best part was that he responded to a post on our class social media page about how much he loved the work, and that it made his day!
That was such a special moment for the 1st and 2nd grade artists!
We truly appreciate your donations. It helps us create and have experiences that we might not otherwise get.”

Funded Dec 31, 2022Thank you for your generosity! It was a wonderful surprise to start the new year seeing that this project has been funded! I am so excited to get my students painting with the fantastic vibrant paints that you helped to supply! I look forward to sharing pictures of the beautiful work that we create with our new supplies. Thank you.”

Tip Top Tables
Funded Apr 28, 2022Thank you for your donations towards our wonderful new art tables. We were all so excited when the tables arrived and we were able to put them together. We even had an "assembly party" (a great way to get some of my 8th grade boys excited to help). Once they all arrived and were assembled the tables were labeled to go with our color groups so that we would not miss a beat with our regular routines.
We have had a few weeks now to enjoy the extra space and stability that our tables give us. We are creating bigger and better works of art. My students now have room to create large works and collaborate on their projects. No more tables shaking or spills when one student erases a mistake or gets a little over excited. Plus, they look really cool and make my student artists feel that someone cares.
Thank you so much for caring about our art program.”
