My students share one "teacher's" laptop and two Kindles. It is difficult to integrate technology into my lessons with limited devices. In addition, those devices cannot really do much. Having an iPad would open up new avenues of teaching and learning potential. My students would able to access a plethora of digital apps and platforms with the addition of one iPad.
I have been to many tech-integration trainings, and I am excited to bring new teaching methods to my classroom.
My students are learning to use Google Suite to create and share reading presentations, conduct science research, and apply math skills. We would like to use Seesaw, Flipgrid, Kahoot, and other digital platforms on a regular basis. My students, which are all dual language learners, would be able to participate in research based activities that would help increase the development of their vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
One iPad would begin to build our tech-library and expand the variety of apps and platforms available to my students. An iPad would help me deliver cool lessons and help me check for student understanding. Most importantly, it will give my students a chance to experience the power of technology in the classroom and spur their creativity and learning potential - all this while having fun!
Please help me bring a little technology into my class. We are ready to enter the vast world of teaching and learning with technology. My students are counting on me to help them prepare for 21st-century living and learning.
