  • Classroom Materials/Organizers

    Funded May 26, 2023

I cannot describe with smile words the excitement that filled the room, and my students faces when the boxes arrived at school. It was almost the end of the week and the end of the school year, yet they were as excited as if it was the beginning of the school year.

After looking into all the materialism details, and ask me how they were going to be use it was difficult to contain their excitement. The new items are all going to have a great use.

Having them in our classroom was a confirmation that the work on my part and the support and contributions of those of you that made this happen was much more than I could have asked for, even more so because this is my first year receiving help but not my first funded project.

I am so full of gratitude to be able to present these items to my students and could not have done so without your support. Thank you again for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

  • Interacting and Leaning with Science

    Funded Mar 25, 2022

Having the science resources helped me to convert a plain boring classroom into a very exciting one. A classroom where my students are able to explore, learn and enjoy every minute of every schooldays.

Thank you for all your help. We have an aquarium with a beta fish that we named "Panchito". We have a solar system floor puzzle that is helping the student learn about our planets. We also got magnets and different materials that will help us understand physic and how magnets work.

The students learned to be responsible as they have to feed the fish every day. They are also learning how to take care of their pet and what kind of environment a fish needs to live longer and healthy. They are also working really hard to earn points so they can go to our science corner and enjoy every activity there.”

I want to thank you so much for your help and your kindness. My students were stunned with the ease and the comfort of the headphones that we received. They have been working hard on their reading skills and having the headphones had helped them greatly.

We have been using the headphones daily and due to the quality they are reliable and very helpful to all my students.

Thanks again for the generous contribution given to our kids they are very aware of how lucky they are to receive such a useful donation.”

  • Story Writers and Illustrators "Let's Create"

    Funded Oct 28, 2021

As the boxes with different writing materials arrived at the classroom, the students started to get very excited about writing new books, sharing adventure through writing, a skill that has been hard to teach and hard for the students to love.

Your generosity impacted our students in a way that is impossible to describe with words; thank you !! you made a real difference in our daily writing routine. Students look forward to writing and they are falling in love with a skill that was so hard for them to do.

So far, we had created two books one about our families and our community and we just started a monthly theme routine where we will create books monthly; thanks to you and your contribution.”

  • Money Money Money ...

    Funded Oct 1, 2021

On behave of all students in classroom # 232; I will like to thank you for your generous donation to my Money project.

With your financial support I was able to buy a classroom cashier, that is used weekly at a Math center to teach students about money and how important it is to learn the monetary concepts that are used daily. I am able to show them real-life situations to improve their life skills.

The generous support given to us by you makes it possible for our student to succeed academically and give us access to resources that many of our low-income families do not have.

Thank you again for your support !!”

  • Math Manipulatives and More.

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

My students and I, would like to thank you for the continuously and amazing job you do to support our classroom community. Because of your generosity, now all my students are able to work with their own manipulatives. Now they are able to make numbers using the playdough, learn about shapes and how to combine basic shapes into more complex ones.

They are exploring science, mixing the new paints to create colors; using the math games they are adding and subtracting. By having a variety of math manipulatives in the classroom; I have the opportunity to differentiate instruction and to use modeling when a new concept is presented. These manipulatives had helped not only my student but me.

Again, many thanks for your support, it means the world to us; your help is much more appreciated during these difficult times, where are all going through due to our world pandemic. Generous people like you, make a difference to many of us every day.”

  • Dr Seuss Books

    Funded Apr 29, 2020

There are no words to express how grateful we are for our benefactors, as soon as the box was delivered to our classroom, my students knew what was inside, they did not even wait to open it when they knew we had Dr. Seuss books to read, to look at to share and even to borrow so they can enjoy them at home. This year especially we needed them more than ever, your help is representing how we can come together as a community to help our new generations. Your help is very important to us.

Some of my students did not know about the way these books are written, some of them were discovering them for the very first time.... some said " Mrs. Z they rhyme". Just hearing them so excited making connections; made me realize how important our help is to them. As little as one book for each student made a huge difference, thank you for your generosity again.

  • First Time Asking for Help: Just the Basics

    Funded Mar 7, 2020

I was lucky enough to receive these resources before school closing for COVID-19. As we moved to a Distance Learning Model, several of my students didn't have any resources, to fully attend remote instruction. Having new headphones, color pencils, crayons, etc. allowed me to provide all my students with several extra resources needed forth to keep on attending school from home.

It was a gift sent to us at a perfect time, to the students who needed the most. I have no words o express how to thank fill and how happy I am to say that the "Donor Choose" program allowed several students to have the resources needed to keep on learning.

Thanks again for the opportunity you give us teacher; to use your platform so we can connect with all these amazing people that want to share and give to the ones in need.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Zamudio

My students benefit from hands-on projects, lessons, activities and we are incorporating STEM lessons into our daily learning. My students are using some of our "old" computers, without headphones and they get so distracted; we need headphones. We are also recycling writing tools from previous years but we are running out of everything. Since the weather is getting colder and colder, we have recess inside but our classroom does not have any games or activities they can play during inside recess. Art materials in our classroom do not exist; we have none. We just need the basics to make our learning more exciting, motivating and enjoyable. This is my first time asking for help because I've run out of ideas and we don't have much left. We need your help. Thank you for your support!
