My students have experienced so much trauma in their lives that they really struggle sitting and focusing. By providing them with flexible seating and the bouncy bands, it will give them the opportunity to make choices that will help them stay on task. The district does not provide any flexible seating for our classrooms so I need to provide it so my students can perform at their best potential. This is a high need, so that students can learn at their comfort level and are provided an environment that allows them maximum opportunities to expand their knowledge. I am trying to give my students the same chances that their peers have by proving a classroom printer so they can print the projects that they create. Our district took out all of our classroom printers. I have to wait for a prep period to walk across campus to print their writing or projects. Having a printer with extra ink will really help me give them hard copies of their work immediately so they can see what they can complete projects or see their work and get immediate feedback.
