Teaching with Technology in Tough Times

I cannot begin to express my gratitude for your most gracious gift donation to our class donors choose project. I have been given the opportunity to connect with my students during this very difficult remote learning phase with the pandemic of COVID 19.

I have been able to connect with all of my 21 students during our daily Teams meetings with the use of our MacBook Air. Our class was able to make a fairly seamless transition to remote learning with the utilization of this laptop. I have been able to provide rigorous, engaging lessons over Teams meetings and with the use of our district's Learning Management System- all which was possible due the upgraded technology received through this project. We have also implemented fun activities such as revealing Halloween costumes, making a craft together and having hot cocoa together during our daily lessons.

My students and I are so appreciative of your generosity, and we hope to implement even more learning opportunities with the use of this technology when we are able to come back together in the school building.”
